In the framework of World Stroke Day 2024, the Neurology Service of the University Hospital together with the Student Group Against Neurological Diseases (GECEN) carried out activities focused on dissemination, prevention, training, education and research on topics related to stroke, as well as promotion of physical activity. The key events included: 1. XV Course on Prehospital, Hospital, and Nursing Care for Stroke A comprehensive symposium focused on enhancing knowledge and skills in managing stroke cases. 2. Exhibition of Stroke-Related Research Projects A showcase of research and findings by students and professionals, aimed at the understanding of stroke. 3. Lectures on Stroke Topics by GECEN (aimed at students) Educational sessions led by GECEN, designed to inform and engage students on various aspects of stroke prevention, diagnosis and treatment. 4. Sports Activity in Chipinque, Nuevo León An outdoor activity promoting physical health and teamwork, highlighting the importance of active lifestyles in reducing stroke risk. 5. Stroke Risk Assessment Stand A public awareness initiative offering free risk assessments for stroke with the mobile phone Stroke Riskometer App TM , including blood pressure checks and educational materials on prevention and awareness of the principal symptoms of stroke with the mnemonic "CAMALEON". 6. Sharing on Social Media of Stroke-Related Topics A digital campaign to spread awareness about stroke, featuring informative posts and videos.
