In March 2023, the first Comprehensive stroke Center in Yemen was established in Aden city. In July 2023, the neurologists in Aden city assembled and formed the Aden Neurology Advisory Board (ANAB) and organised the first scientific meeting for Aden neurologists in 21st September, 2023.

The ANAB, Aden cardiology society and the internal medicine departments in the teaching hospitals in Aden are preparing for the World Stroke Day and discussing the status and obstacles to stroke program development in Aden and implementation of WSO and World Stroke Alliance last recommendations in Delhi 8 September 2023. This comes after the success the first CSC in Doctor's Tower Hospital (Borg Al-Atiba) which is registered in RES-Q registry.
