Α workshop will be organized in order to present and discuss the gaps and challenges for the timely management and treatment of Strokes and the plans that are implemented. The aim of the event is to promote the creation of infrastructure and structures for the operation of the stroke unit in the General Hospital of Nicosia and the timely treatment of individuals as well as in matters of rehabilitation. The program includes a presentation of the personal experience of the Stroke Ambassador, Alexia Kountouris The president of the Cyprus Stroke Association will present and update on Stroke Action Plan for Europe (SAP-E) / APLA Campaign. The Director of the Ambulances Services will make a presentation on "The contribution of ambulances and trained nurses in the timely treatment of patients". Professor George Chatzigeorgiou, Associate Dean of the Medical School of the University of Cyprus will present his proposal for the need to create a Stroke Unit in Cyprus
