Lunching of an emergency acute stroke centre by Regions Healthcare. The aim for establishing the emergency acute stroke centre is to reverse the high prevalence of stroke case fatalities, improve access to cutting-edge stroke care, and reduce disability in stroke survivors. The centre will primarily serve the South-East and South-South regions, and will provide: - free acute stroke evaluation - free stroke education by specialists - rapid evaluation of patients having a stroke - on-site CT and lab investigations - iv tPA for patients who qualify
