We started on October 7th with the recording of short capsules about stroke for social networks. On the 8th and 10th we went on television to talk about Pacifica Salud's Stroke Program and educate the population to identify signs and symptoms, how to treat and prevent stroke. On October 27th we continued with a race at Town Center to raise awareness about breast and prostate cancer, as well as to promote the importance of exercise in preventing strokes. Then, on October 28th, we visited the Boca La Caja Health Center where we talked with both patients and health staff about the importance of preventing, detecting and treating cerebrovascular disease in a timely manner. We worked alongside our Person-Centered Care Team, who guided patients on how to become active patients. On October 29th and 30th we visited different areas within Pacifica Salud Punta Pacifica and Costa del Este taking pictures, reviewing basic concepts of stroke management and preparing the staff for the final contest on the 31st with the Jedi Duel, an activity that merges stroke knowledge with Star Wars to create a fun game where both administrative and healthcare staff can learn more about stroke.
