The 2024 World Stroke Day China Health Science Volunteer Action launched its main event in Beijing's Longtan Lake Park on October 29. Hosted by the Chinese Stroke Association, the event emphasized the theme "Integrating Medicine and Exercise to Combat Stroke" and featured leadership addresses, a Baduanjin exercise demonstration, science lectures, and a group walk around the lake. The aim was to raise public awareness on stroke prevention, encourage healthy lifestyle habits, and promote collaboration between the medical and sports sectors. Simultaneously, nationwide activities took place, with over 2,000 Red Ribbon volunteer units and tens of thousands of healthcare professionals engaging the public in stroke prevention education through free consultations, health lectures, and screenings for high-risk factors.
