HRC Stroke Community Awareness Initiative (C.A.I) 2.0 with the Firefighters-Don’t Let Stroke Spread Like Fire

The Neurological Rehabilitation Unit, Hospital Rehabilitasi Cheras (HRC), Kuala Lumpur spearheaded a series of stroke Community Awareness Initiative (C.A.I) to raise awareness of stroke with special focus on early signs and stroke risks identification. The HRC’s stroke Community Awareness Initiative (C.A.I) are organized within 4km of the hospital’s vicinity; in tandem with the 1 in 4 probability of having a stroke in a lifetime. The second session of the HRC stroke Community Awareness Initiative (C.A.I) took place at the local firefighters’ base with active participation in the health screening and stroke risk identification with Stroke Riskometer. Stroke risks and FAST symptoms were explained in an easy-to-understand format to all participants. HRC’s counsellor shared practical tips on maintaining good mental health and stress -free environment in the workplace.
