Our first educational series in conjunction with World Stroke Day 2022 organized by the Neurorehabilitation Unit, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, University Malaya Medical Center, Malaysia. A talk and hands-on session on Basic Hemiplegic Shoulder Care was given by Dr. Liyana Ahmad Farid to 20 participants (including medical officers, nurses, and therapists). The session mainly focused on the proper way of positioning and care of the hemiplegic shoulder in lying position, sitting, and also while mobilizing. Role-play sessions gave real experience to participants to manage hemiplegic shoulder.
