Dear friends and colleagues,
Last month we have mastered a large workload to keep up with our international activities and to cope with the changes imposed by the pandemic. The following newsletter gives an account of our achievements and the documents we have been working on. We are proud that the WSO Declaration on prevention and Stroke and Dementia has been published on behalf of the WSO Board of Directors. This Declaration will be a core document to guide our future activities on prevention.
Also the Don’t Stay at Home Initiative has started and motivates persons with signs of stroke to seek medical attention immediately. The growing number of upcoming webinars is impressive and the World Stroke Academy group deserves our thanks for picking this up so quickly.
At the same time we are working hard to modify our congress to the needs imposed by the pandemic. It will be held as ESO-WSO Congress in November 7-9 in Vienna. Hopefully, with our next newsletter we can gIve you a full update.

Achieving our vision of a life free from stroke is a task that WSO cannot achieve alone. We are committed to building our partnerships at the global, regional and national level to scale up and deliver improvements in prevention, treatment and support to reduce the burden of stroke.
