With the WHO Resolution due for adoption at the upcoming World Heatlh Assembly in Geneva, stroke is finally rising up the global health policy agenda. But commitment doesn't guarantee implementation. It's time for action.
On the margins of the 79th World Health Assembly, the World Stroke Organization and our partners in the Global Stroke Action Coalition are proud to build focus on the need for #StrokeActionNow at From Resolution to Implementation - shaping the future of global stroke, co-hosted by the Ministry of Health & Population - Egypt and the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU).
Moderated by journalist and stroke survivor Sharon Epperson this high-level roundtable will bring together ministers, WHO leaders, development agencies, civil society, financing and industry partners, to focus on the next critical step: turning the landmark WHO stroke resolution into meaningful progress for patients worldwide.

The WHO Resolution on 'Reducing the burden of stroke: strengthening prevention, acute care, rehabilitation and health-system readiness' creates an unprecedented opportunity for governments and stroke stakeholders to work together to accelerate tsroke action plans, strengthen health systems and improve access to evidence-based care across the full stroke pathway.
