Calling for SSO testimonials!
19 Aug 2022 SSO NewsAt the World Stroke Congress in Singapore in October 2022 we will be showcasing testimonials of the work of SSOs from around the world.
SSO Testimonials - World Stroke Congress October 2022
The 14th World Stroke Congress will focus on the latest developments in stroke prevention, acute management, rehabilitation and recovery after stroke.
Share your SSO story!
As in previous years we will share testimonials from stroke survivors, family and carers throughout the Congress. This can be a short written piece, a quote from you, a poem, a photo, or your artwork. Some ideas for topics are:
- How stroke support organizations have supported your recovery
- How art, exercise, involvement in research or campaigning is part of your life after stroke
This year the testimonials will be shared on the digital screens between sessions, so we will be reaching as many of the delegates as possible.
As each testimonial will be on one powerpoint slide, we will not have a lot of room for text.
- Keep text to 100 words and include a digital portrait photo of yourself
- Include your name, nationality, when you (or your family member) had a stroke and at what age (this is not included in the 100 words!)
- We want to share stories from across our SSO membership, so if you are an organisation submitting a number of testimonials, we want to ensure that we hear from people of different ages, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, orientation, education, and national origin.
- Please note: By sharing your testimonial and picture you are consenting to its distribution at the World Stroke Congress and in WSO online and print media.
