South Pacific Stroke Summit | World Stroke Organization

This event aims to bring together stroke clinicians and policy makers across the South Pacific Region with a focus on LMIC to raise stroke awareness and increase government focus on reducing stroke burden. We hope to increase knowledge about stroke through educational activities provided to attendees and to celebrate achievements among represented countries in stroke prevention and care, and provide networking opportunities.

Main Topics:

Stroke epidemiology and prevention in the South Pacific.
Optimizing Acute stroke care, including multidisciplinary and ASU care.
Pre-hospital stroke care and reperfusion therapies.
Recovery and rehabilitation.
Workshop: Safe use of stroke reperfusion therapies
Workshop: Develop guidelines, monitoring performance, and achieving certification.
