The Stroke Summer School aims to complement the training of young Neurologists, Clinicians, Cardiologists and ICU physicians with special interest in Stroke.
- To establish study and treatment strategies, combining the diagnostic interpretation with bibliographic update.
- To actively participate in the discussion of neurological cases.
- To incorporate diagnostic and management strategies of patients with cerebrovascular disease, including neurological examination, laboratory, neurophysiological and imaging tests.
- To have an integral approach to the stroke patient.
- To learn the management of the patient with stroke, both in the Stroke Unit and in the outpatient clinic.
- To learn the basics of the activities of a Stroke Unit.
- To understand the selection criteria and practical aspects of intravenous thrombolysis and mechanical thrombectomy.
- To exchange knowledge and experience with peers.
- To incorporate knowledge through critical reading of papers.
- To strength the bonds among future specialists in vascular neurology in the region.
