WSO announces results from Officers election

The WSO Board election 2024 for Officers positions are now closed and we are very pleased to announce the results. Congratulations to the newly elected WSO Officers for the period 2024-2026.

WSO Officers elections took place from 7th - 28rd September 2024.

All current WSO Board and Executive committee members were asked to select their favorite candidate for the open positions of President-elect, Vice-President representing Stroke Support Organizations (SSOs) and WSO Member at Large representing SSOs.

To better get to know our President Elect candidates, WSO organized a teleconference with the candidates, which was open to all WSO Board and Executive members.
The WSO Secretary and the members of the WSO Senate have been overseeing the election to ensure that it was fair and compliant with WSO policies. The final votes were verified and the results confirmed by the WSO Senate.

We are pleased to announce the elected WSO Officers are:

WSO President elect - Craig Anderson
WSO Vice-President representing SSOs - Bruce Ovbiagele
WSO Member at large representing the SSOs - Michelle Nelson

The election of Prof. Craig Anderson, previously the WSO Vice President, has created a new vacancy for a Vice President position. There is an ongoing election process to fill this position, and the results will be announced as soon as the election is completed and results have been confirmed by the WSO Senate.
