The WSO Certification Program continues to gain strong momentum as hospitals around the world work to elevate and standardize the quality of stroke care. More than 60 centers from 25 countries have now registered on the new certification platform, and 7 centers have successfully achieved WSO Certification to date. This reflects a growing global commitment to strengthening stroke systems of care.
A defining feature of the WSO Certification Program is its on-site assessment process, which allows WSO appointed assessors to engage directly with hospital teams, either in person or through hybrid formats, to verify standards and support continuous quality improvement. These assessments demonstrate the program’s commitment to ensuring that certification is meaningful, supportive, and grounded in real-world practice.

Looking ahead, WSO is working to formalize national-level collaborations with the Stroke Society of the Philippines, the Stroke Association of Nepal, and the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) in India. These partnerships aim to strengthen national stroke care frameworks and streamline opportunities for hospitals to engage with WSO Certification.
We look forward to welcoming many more centers on the pathway toward WSO Certification and advancing stroke care excellence worldwide.
