Join the global effort to drive awareness of stroke symptoms and the need to #ActFAST on World Stroke Day Oct 29th
For World Stroke Day on October 29th, we are asking stroke and public health stakeholders to join the global effort to drive awareness of stroke symptoms and the need to seek emergency medical care.
To help you deliver high impact awareness activities, online and in your community, WSO has developed a suite of high-quality resources, tools, and tips. Our World Stroke Day 2025 campaign toolkit aims to make stroke symptom awareness-raising easy for everyone. Online and offline resources have been translated into 7 global languages; our stroke symptom icons create a visual short-cut so that nothing gets lost in translation, our leaflet provides a lasting message that can be shared at events or in public spaces, while our online poster builder helps you to create printed materials for local display that can include your own image, a unique message, and that all-important medical emergency phone number.
Also, coming soon are a series of information videos from campaign Committee members that not only seek raise awareness of stroke symptoms, but also hope to address some common misperceptions that can act as barriers to symptom recognition and treatment seeking behaviour. Our StrokeSpotter game has been streamlined and translated to provide a fun online learning tool, as well as an engaging activity for participants in community events. An active social media campaign will promote our videos, the game and will encourage users to participate in an online stroke quiz after which they can download a certificate or social badge to show they are ready to #ActFAST for stroke.
We know that our members and stakeholders around the world are standing ready to drive visibility and action on stroke, and we want to highlight your activities. Please remember to register your World Stroke Day events on our Global Map of Action and show a world committed to tackling stroke!
