An important World Health Organization Southeast Asia Region Stroke Improvement Initiative with representation from WSO’s President-Elect Jeyaraj Pandian. Including hospital visits and specialized training program for 80 healthcare professionals in stroke care and rehabilitation. During this meeting, we had the privilege of discussing our initiative with the Honorable State Health Minister, Director General of Health Services, and representatives from the WHO Country office. Looking ahead, our future plans include developing stroke surveillance, establishing a robust stroke network, enhancing rehabilitation services, and introducing stroke certification.
Achieving our vision of a life free from stroke is a task that WSO cannot achieve alone. We are committed to building our partnerships at the global, regional and national level to scale up and deliver improvements in prevention, treatment and support to reduce the burden of stroke.
