The World Stroke Organization (WSO) is proud to continue supporting the RES-Q+ research project as a key dissemination partner. RES-Q+ is an ambitious EU-funded initiative designed to transform stroke quality monitoring through AI, data innovation and automated clinical insights.
Building on the success of the international RES-Q registry, RES-Q+ is developing a new generation of tools, including virtual assistants for clinicians and patients, predictive models that support evidence-based decision making, a multilingual open-access stroke data platform, and automated extraction tools to simplify data entry. These innovations aim to make stroke quality measurement easier, faster and more actionable for hospitals worldwide.
As a dissemination partner, WSO continues to elevate the visibility and strategic relevance of RES-Q+ through its global advocacy activities. The project has been highlights and emphasizes the importance of strengthening global stroke quality monitoring systems. RES-Q+ is also embedded in WSO’s ongoing collaboration plan with WHO, ensuring strong alignment with international initiatives to standardize stroke care and improve data quality. These efforts help pave the way for future integration of RES-Q+ outputs into stroke policies and action plans.
The project is progressing well, and the clinical and patient-facing virtual assistant tools are advancing through development. Once finalized and validated, these tools will provide powerful support to clinicians, stroke teams, and patient communities.
RES-Q+ runs until October 2026, and WSO will continue to provide updates as the tools move closer to deployment. Throughout next year, members can expect more information, demonstrations and opportunities to engage with RES-Q+ at international conferences, workshops and WSO advocacy platforms.
Together, we are contributing to a future where every stroke patient benefits from high-quality, data-driven care, everywhere in the world.
