For the first three months of 2024 the World Stroke Campaign Committee and SSO Committee are collaborating on a joint campaign, focused on raising awareness of issues affecting stroke survivors and caregivers. A key objective of the campaign is to drive engagement with the WSO Global Stroke Bill of Rights. This resource was developed in consultation with stroke survivors and caregivers and sets out their priorities for stroke care from acute to long-term care. The Global Stroke Bill of Rights is of course a useful advocacy tool, but it also s a tool that healthcare professionals can use to reflect on the care that they provide and to stimulate discussions with colleagues, patients and caregivers. We're sharing regular posts on our social media channels and calling on WSO members to respond to our call to action to 'Read it! Sign it! Share it!'.

Achieving our vision of a life free from stroke is a task that WSO cannot achieve alone. We are committed to building our partnerships at the global, regional and national level to scale up and deliver improvements in prevention, treatment and support to reduce the burden of stroke.
