The World Stroke Day #GreaterThan Challenge registration is now LIVE sign up today, choose your challenge and you be all set to hit the ground running on October 1st. You can log your exercise minutes through the month of October and contribute to a global total. As a Challenge participant you can see how you are performing, compared to other team members, appear on the minutes leaderboard and see your contribution to the global stroke prevention effort.

Participation in the Challenge costs US$5, although participants are welcome to donate as much as they feel able. All funds raised through the challenge will help to support WSO ongoing awareness and advocacy programs. We do have a number of free registrations for participants in LMICs, and for those with lived experience of stroke living anywhere in the world. Your free registration can be accessed by applying a discount code when you resgister. You can access discount codes by contacting your nearest WSO Member Society, or by contacting campaign@world-stroke.org. Discount codes are available to any eligible individual who signs up via the Challenge Hound app. If you want to be part of Team #GreaterThan please sign up as soon as possible.

We hope that you commit to getting active every day in any way during October, but taking part in the #GreaterThan challenge is just one of the ways you can support our sports themed World Stroke Day campaign on Oct 29th. Our World Stroke Day Campaign Guide and Toolkit is full of ideas and resources to support WSO members and public to bring World Stroke Day to life in your community. Here are some things you can do:

Reach out to sports influencers, clubs, gyms and associations to see how they can help to raise stroke awareness with their communities, members and fans
Share a #GreaterThan stroke Instagram story with a stroke awareness message and our campaign stickers on Oct 29th
Create a poster and put it up in your local healthcare center, shopping center, library or government building
Organize stroke awareness events in your community
Arrange community screening to support identification of stroke risk factors
Meet with govenment officials to discuss key stroke issues and strategies to improve awareness, prevention, treatment and support.
