EAN is the European Academy of Neurology, a non-profit, independent organization representing more than 45 000 individual members as well as 47 European national societies. EAN is a medical society that aims to promote excellence in the practice of general neurology throughout Europe, leading to improved patient care.
Recently, Prof. Michael Brainin, President of the World Stroke Organization was invited by EAN to give an interview on some recent and key matters. It is an interesting discussion in which Prof. Brainin shares more about WSO, its activities and collaborations with other organizations while covering also the hot topics of COVID-19 and stroke and the newly published WHO ICD 11 which after debates has correctly classified stroke as a Disease of the Nervous System.
