Professor Paul Pronyk is an infectious disease physician and global health specialist. He is the Deputy Director of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute and leads regional support efforts on outbreak preparedness.
Prior to joining SDGHI, Dr Pronyk held senior positions UNICEF including as the Chief of Child Survival and Development in Indonesia, the Ebola response coordinator in Sierra Leone, and the technical lead for the UN Commission on Life Saving Commodities at UNICEF New York which supported health systems strengthening programs across Africa and Asia. Dr Pronyk also directed major cross-disciplinary research programs for the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and The Earth Institute at Columbia University. He has published widely across a range of disciplines including communicable disease control, health systems, data & analytics, child health and nutrition.
