Wan Asyraf Wan Zaidi is recently accredited as consultant neurologist in August 2019 and experience as consultant physician since 2016 in the first public university hospital with stroke care unit and with stroke reperfusion service in Malaysia. He is also a clinical lecturer in internal medicine and neurology with interest in stroke. He had a short attachment at the Comprehensive Stroke Center, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne, Australia and currently the vice president of Malaysia Stroke Council. He has a special interest in stroke prevention and hyperacute stroke imaging. He is currently the national lead investigator for TRIDENT clinical trial and co-national lead investigator for AVERT DOSE trial. He is involved in training the trainer in ASEAN for hyperacute stroke protocol and involved with stroke reperfusion service establishment in Maldives.
