Member Bio

Dr Li Khim Kwah (or Khim Kwah) is a physiotherapist trained in Sydney, Australia. She currently works as an Associate Professor at Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) - the only University in Singapore offering a Physiotherapy degree. Khim has been a physiotherapist since 2004 and completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Sydney. She has held senior academic and senior clinical positions at universities and hospitals in Sydney before returning home to Singapore in 2018.

In her last role at University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Khim worked as a Senior Lecturer and Responsible Academic Officer (for Teaching and Learning), and co-ordinated the Masters of Physiotherapy course. She was in charge of curriculum development for accreditation and led the academic team in developing an integrated and practice-centred curriculum. As a result, UTS was awarded accreditation approval by Australian Physiotherapy Council in November 2016.

Khim’s teaching areas include neurological physiotherapy, evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning, while her current research areas focus on predicting recovery, and improving physical activity after stroke.
