Dr. Rajeshwar born in 1982, is working at Faculty position (Associate Professor) in the Department of Neurology, Christian Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana, Punjab, India.

Training: He graduated in Medicine at the Christian Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana. He did his master’s degree in Internal Medicine in 2010 and DM Neurology in 2018 at Christian Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana. He is working as neurologist with special interest in Stroke Medicine and Neuro-intervention.  

Research areas: He has special interest in Research related to Acute Ischemic stroke, Intracerebral Haemorrhage and Neuro-Intervention.

Ongoing Projects: 1) He is Principal Investigator in National Stroke Registry Project under ICMR-NCDIR. He is Co-PI in 2) (ENRICH-AF- EdoxabaN foR IntraCranial Hemorrhage survivors with Atrial Fibrillation), 3) Sentinel Surveillance for Adverse Events of Special Interest (AESI) following COVID-19 vaccination in India, 4) INTRINSIC TRIAL, 5) REOPEN

Completed Projects: Co-PI - 1) SPRINT INDIA: structured semi-interactive stroke prevention package in India 2) RESURRECT TRIAL: REmote ISchaemic conditioning and Fentanyl as an adjUnct to TaRgeted tempeRature Management in Hypoxic ischaEmic Brain Injury post Cardiac ArresT (RESURRECT) Study: HIBI Initiative.

Award: 1st Prize at the Chrismed Annual Research and Education Symposium (CARES) 2018, CMC & H, Ludhiana, Indian Academy of Neurology (IAN) Travel Fellowship Grant 2018,  and Award of Honour, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Punjab, Mega Medical Checkup Camp, MANSA Nov 2012.

Professional: He is member of Indian Academy of Neurology (IAN), American Academy of Neurology (AAN), European Stroke Organisation (ESO), and World Stroke Organization (WSO). He had done oral presentation of his DM thesis at ESOC 2018.   

Publications: He has published Five articles in National and One in International Journal with Three abstracts of original research presented in international conferences and published in international journals. 

In Private: He is happily married for 12 years with his wife Vandana and father of two daughters. He enjoys travel, modern art, sports-Badminton, watching movies and Indian music.
