Our campaign will be aimed at society in general, especially high school students and will be developed with activities focused on the prevention of risk factors, the early recognition of signs and symptoms and the treatment of stroke. Our goal is to work and raise awareness about risk factors. The most important of these is high blood pressure, but there are other important factors that we must take into account and work on them: smoking, high cholesterol, obesity, sedentary lifestyle, alcohol consumption and illegal drugs, among others. In the world, stroke (ACV) is the first neurological cause of disability and the second cause of death after heart attacks. In Argentina, approximately 180 cases of strokes occur per 100,000 inhabitants; 72,000 new cases every year and 8 cases every hour. A study by AAAC (Asociación Argentina de Ataque cerebral and Clinica Sagrada Familia) highlighted that 34.1% of the population surveyed in the City of Buenos Aires could not spontaneously mention a warning sign of stroke. To this end, the activity will focus on an interactive Giant Brain and different educational positions that will allow participatory knowledge, how to take pressure, the importance of a healthy diet and frequent physical activity, in a very special place, the Japanese Garden in Buenos Aires Argentina, October 29 from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM. Also we will present a mnemotechnich acronym in Spanish, as FAST in English, SOCORRE will be the acronym, meaning socorre as help, but also SOnreir (smile) COORdinar (body coordination) REpetir (repeat). SOCORRE will be presented as a Superheroe and an application will help to understand how to procced during a STROKE. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eneritec.mkt.es) It is very important to raise awareness among the population, which is the second leading cause of death and the first disability worldwide in older adults. However, more and more cases are registered in young adults and adolescents. The good news is that stroke is preventable and its early treatment reduces both mortality and its sequelae.
